Who IS that guy?

Hunter came home from school on Thursday and said, "I want you to cut my hair." I gladly accepted the challenge, although my curiosity wasn't satisfied with this surprise request. I asked him why and he said it was bothering him and with basketball coming up, he wanted it short. He said he could always grow it back out. Wow! What a mature response! I guess it surprised me a bit, since I always expect some sort of twist from my guys.

Well, things around the Turner home are as to be expected for the busy Fall season. The boys are growing up so quickly! Grant is the only one who wants to dress up, so at 6:30 p.m. on Halloween, he decides he wants to dress up. Nice. So we scrounge around for something, anything that would resemble a costume. Tada! Grandma Newman's old scrubs+a mask I use for refinishing furniture+ a scarf I still wear in my hair+ an old fake bloody knife from 5 years ago and presto! Dr. Death!

A Family That Cooks Together...

Not only are these Turner boys handsome, they are good in the kitchen! Before we know it, girls will be lining up outside Richard and Carrie's door. Thanks for the great photos and keep them coming!

Trainspotting

Recently I was able to take some photos in Hooper, NE. It's about 40 miles northwest of Omaha. The town has a great small town feeling...and lots of good subject matter to boot. I took these three of an abandoned train right as you enter Main street.

Flies and Friends

These are the final pictures I have from Utah...this particular picture was taken as the sun was going down. All I remember thinking was how beautiful it was there and what a terrific six hours of fishing we had. For a first timer, I have to say I'm "hooked."

Behind every fish is a good story...and this one is no exception...

The gentleman in the front, David Gobble (a Board member from Indiana) is a tremendous fly fisherman. He probably caught a dozen fish while we were out--I'll never be that good, but I don't mind trying.

Another breathtaking view of our day with the fishes...

This one actually looks like I know what I'm doing.

We were about 11,000 feet up in the mountains here...really unbelievable.

Taking On The Terrain

Here's another one from my recent trip. I went four wheeling with my co-worker Kelly and a board member Dr. Mark Ott (he's taking the picture). It was a blast! I was told I had one speed...fast. My response was "how else are you suppose to drive these things?" Anyway, you can see the lodge where we stayed in the background. And as you can tell, we were out in the middle of nowhere--literally.

Britt's Time In Utah

I was lucky enough to go to our Board of Directors meeting in Emery, Utah last week. We had a day of meetings and then it was time for fun! The place was absolutely beautiful and there was so much to do (all in one day). These are some pictures of me and Cash. My first time riding...a little scary, but he was a great horse. I'll post some more of the other activities and scenery soon.

What a sweet little Pieces! These photos were taken by a friend of Casey's when Reese was 13 months, and they're beautiful. Thanks for sharing Casey!
